Dear Friends and Members of the Forum Predigerkirche

Several changes have taken place amongst our committee members since the Annual General Meeting on June 26th. Having reached the end of his term in office, Karl Flückiger has stood down, and the presidency has passed into the joint hands of Eja Bellmont and Marissa Schwieger. Due to his retirement, we have also taken leave of Thomas Münch, whose duties as treasurer have been taken over by Daniela di Luzio. His theological function will be taken over from the 1st September by Franz-Xaver Hiestand SJ, who is a priest of the Jesuit order and was for many years entrusted with pastoral care at the universities of Bern, Lucerne and Zürich. Konrad Stefanski came on to the committee for Cornelia Lautenschütz. This is a reshuffle for us all, so mutually we wish each other courage, wisdom and a measure of calm in all our efforts, and our sincere, good wishes go to all new entrants. We look forward to working together.

DYNAMIX
Dynamix, our monthly evening of motion and dance, is living up to its name and is emerging as a vibrant way of enlivening our senses while giving us good fun. This has been Konrad Stefanski’s project from the outset. His aim is to merge art and faith. Here he introduces himself in his own words: “My name is Konrad. Before setting off on my theological journey, I was for many years a dancer. I first trained at the ballet school in Łódź, thereafter performing on various stages in Europe and further afield. As time went on, the dance became more for me than simply my profession. It was an opportunity for self-expression, for my search for meaning and my discovery of beauty. It was through art that I began, more and more, to encounter the mystery of life and to ask questions, which would finally lead me to my faith. I see my role as a member of the committee of the Predigerkirche Zürich in being to bring together spirituality, art and fellowship in order to reveal the beauty of the divine creation, and thereby to open a space which will enable people to find greater depth of meaning and a closeness to God.”
As a rule, Dynamix takes place on the second Monday of the month from 18.00 till 21.00. There is a break for refreshments (bring-and-share).
We hope you can access all further information about activities in the intellectual and meditative sphere offered by the Predigerkirche either here, or in our display windows, or online at Altstadtkirchen.ch
